The boring stuff…

My name is Deslie-Ann Osborn. I live in Coffs Harbour, Australia and I work fulltime as an Instructional Designer / Project Manager in the VET education sector. (Phew! That’s the boring stuff out of the way!)

I’m a fledgling blogger (at this stage!) – I don’t normally do this sort of thing! (Yeah right – how many tmes have you heard that!).

Why this blog…

I LOVE a good read! I even like a not-so-good read (at the very least it gives me something to think about!).

Anyway, I was having a conversation with some work colleagues recently where we were discussing books that we’d read and were reading. This conversation got pretty animated (there are a lot of book lovers out there!!) and when I mentioned that I had The Time Travellers Wife in my possession to read at some point in my ‘wish I had time to read a book’ schedule, one member of the group (who’d just that morning been lost and found in a very enticing little bookstore in Sydney!), suggested VERY stongly that I read it IMMEDIATELY! (I couldn’t, due to work commitments, but I have now!).  The discussion that ensued triggered the idea of this Secret Little Book Club which I’m sure isn’t the first, but maybe it is for this little group of book lovers. Besides, it’ll give me a chance to explore the world of blogging a bit more (I’ve been a bit of a ‘wikis for educational purposes’ kind of Web 2.0 Tooler up until now!).
